My No-Expenses-Spared Christmas Wishlist

My No-Expenses-Spared Christmas Wishlist

In reality, there’s not a lot on my Christmas wishlist. Neal spoils me rotten all year round so it leaves me a little stumped at this time of year. The only thing I asked for was a cleaning gadget. If that doesn’t say I’ve slipped into adulthood, I don’t know what does.

So, I decided to have a little fun and go extreme. This is if money were no object, and I could have anything I wanted. Before anyone gets on their high horse, yes, it’s indulgent and over the top, but I know Christmas isn’t about these sorts of things!

1. A dachshund.

I know – a dog is for life, not just for Christmas, but this isn’t new just for the season. It’s been a growing obsession since earlier in the year. If you’ve been paying attention on Twitter, you’ve probably noticed.

As happy as I am with Juno, I would love a dachshund to add into the mix. Juno actually grew up with a dog, as well as other cats, and I do wonder if she misses that sometimes. In any case, there are several dachshund owners who live on my street and my feeling intensifies every time I pass them.

We live in a flat, so a dachshund is the most appropriate dog for us anyway, but hours of aww-ing at them online has solidified my choice.

2. An iPad.

The Apple fangirl in me wants to complete the collection. I also like the idea of having something between my phone and my laptop to do blogging activities, such as editing photos.

Despite the fact I now have a slightly bigger screen, courtesy of the iPhone XR, an iPad would be a great tool for the days when I don’t fancy sitting in front of my laptop screen.

3. A trip to Greece.

There are other places on my list to see, but Greece is top of the list right now. Then again, I’m not going to turn down a holiday anywhere.

I’d just love for Neal and I to get away for a week, with some sunshine and gorgeous views! We’ve had one holiday to Chicago so far. Amazing as it was, it was busy because we naturally wanted to make the most of our time there. A relaxing holiday, lazing on a beach somewhere sounds delightful.

4. A house.

This is a Miracle on 34th Street kind of wish, but remember: we’re talking limitless possibilities.

I currently do all of my blogging in the living room, at my desk by the window. It’s more than enough, but I can’t help dreaming of my own office. A bigger bathroom and kitchen would be a treat, too! The only other thing I’d add would be a living room with a bay window for my Christmas tree.

In fairness, I actually love our little flat. It’s in a great location, it’s our first place together and it’s a good size for the two of us. Nevertheless, I’m looking forward to the day we upgrade to our forever home.

Plus, the way Neal buys new bits of tech, we’re going to run out of space before long!

5. Ed Sheeran/Michael Bublé/any other favourite tickets.

I was supposed to see Ed Sheeran earlier this year, but had to sell my tickets for various reasons. I was so disappointed!

Then I missed the sale for Michael Bublé’s tickets. Given the fact he’s retiring, it would be wonderful to see him before he does.

There are plenty of other people I’d love to see live, but I don’t think they are touring, or have intentions to. But, I do have tickets for Westlife in June, so there is that to look forward to!

Thanks Bexa! 🙂 That’s the way I always imagine Greece – it seems to have the best of both! As much as I like the idea of lazing around on a beach, I know I’d get a little bored and want to do something else, and there seems to be that option with Greece. I’ll need to keep working on Neal 😉 xx

Seeing Ed Sheeran in Greece, how wonderful would that be? What a fun wishlist 😁

I love Ed Sheeran. When we were in Ireland, heading to Galway, guess what song came on the radio?! 😂 AND, he was doing a series of concerts then, but of course, they were sold out.

For my list, I’d love plane tickets and one of those insanely expensive bungalows over the water in Fiji.

I’d take a Bernese Mountain dog too, but my husband would kill me.

Awww! It’s a shame they were sold out. Tickets are hard to get your hands on, that’s for sure.

Love your choices for your list, too!

It is fun to go a little extreme and imagine sometimes. I love this post for that. I love our house, we were so lucky to get it when we did and at such an amazing price at the time. We have looked at moving but I have yet to find anything that can even come close to matching. I hope you have a lovely Christmas.

It’s wonderful you’re so happy with your house, though. At least it means you can keep an eye out for something else, but know you’re content where you are. 🙂

This is such a good idea, I love fantasising about these kinds of things. I’d love to have a holiday to Greece too, I went to Athens earlier in the year but really want to explore smaller places over there as well xx

I do, too! It’s nice to let your mind wander sometimes. I hadn’t considered Athens before, but I’ve seen a few pictures on blogs and Instagram, and it looks amazing! 🙂

A great list Ruth! We went to Greece this Summer, it was wonderful. I think on my list would be; to find our forever home, to take Parker to Florida or Mexico (where we went on honeymoon, and my best holiday to date). I managed to get tickets to The Spice Girls next year and I’m beyond excited! 🙂

I would love all the top-of-the-line scuba gear… dive computer, BCD, wetsuit, underwater camera, dive trip, the lot! I love my iPad mini and maybe you’ll be able to find some good deals on one yourself!

That would be amazing! 🙂 That’s true about the iPad mini – I think there are some good deals around for it. I’ll need to take another look after Christmas is out of the way.

What a fun idea. I would love to visit Greece one of these days. My wishlist would be a trip to Africa, a new computer, every book on my huge wishlist and some shelves to hold them, and a horse.

My 5 year old helped me read this post. We both agree this is a fantastic list.

She says “good luck!” and hopes you get them all.

    Merry Christmas!

Ed Sheeran is just the BEST! I want to see him live as well, fingers crossed you get that. Finding & being able to start a mortgage on your dream home is scary & exciting, but I really hope it happens for you. I like how you mentioned that it would be your forever home because one of my dreams is that the first home me & my future man move into is the only home we live in together.
